L’Atelier Blanc is a space dedicated to contemporary art, located in the heart of a garden on the banks of the river Aveyron at Villefranche-de-Rouergue. | | | … Push the door : You will wander through the kitchen garden, the rosebushes and the hundred-years-old wisteria to an old barn made of stones. It offers two different spaces of exhibition, painted in white, filled with passion and commitment for contemporary art.

L’Atelier Blanc is an association created in December 2004 by a group of contemporary art lovers. Its goal is to promote and present contemporary artists, either regional or national or international. Since its creation, l’Atelier Blanc has aroused constantly its attendance and has obtained the support of institutions and the commitment of private sponsorship.
With seven exhibitions all over the year, l’Atelier Blanc impulses a dynamics on tourism and local economy.
This private place shows all the love that its owners have gained from contemporary art and artists.
To get there : from the garden of the City Hall and the Tourist information office, near the children playground, walk down the staircase to the banks of the river Aveyron. On your right, a door opens on the exhibition space of l’Atelier Blanc. You can also go there from the place of Saint Jean and the “Maison du Patrimoine, strolling on the banks and under the two bridges spanning over the river.
After a walk in the old streets of the 1252 founded “bastide royale” of Villefranche-de-Rouergue, a Art and History labelled city, l’Atelier Blanc will allow you to take up with contemporary creation. |
